what does the new Pantone colour of the year mean to me?

Every year Pantone comes out with the colour of the year. It influences a lot of designers on how to approach the year’s decor. But what does it mean to me specifically? To me it means there is good change coming! Blue is a relaxing colour, yet this Classic Blue is also vibrant, deep and saturated, giving it strength too. Blue is also a really easy colour to live with since it’s the colour of the waters of this world. And it’s cool; crisp; and anything but white.

While I still love my white Scandinavian look, I am also now finally appreciating colour again. This is a good thing! We’ll be seeing more colours in decor for sure as we shift to ‘more is more’, maximalism, and florals. I predict Classic Blue is just the cusp…
