Definition of Contemporary - belonging to or occurring in the present - "the tension and complexities of our contemporary society". Similar to Modern, but not necessarily the same.

Below are some great examples of contemporary bathroom design. They are current, present-day and oh so lovely to most of our eyes… for now. But much like any contemporary style (think the 60s, 70s, 80s…) these designs too, unfortunately, shall pass and one day look dated as well. But for now, let’s embrace these lovely ideas and perhaps, just perhaps, these might stick around a little while longer than some of the other decades. No guarantees.

Perhaps you may even notice how they are not all necessarily too ‘modern’ feeling, yet they are all still contemporary. If you’re ready for a bathroom renovation, maybe you can get inspired here!
