Mixed flooring, or alternating colours of flooring, seems to be a hot trend right now. Sarah 101 just showed it in a gorgeous kitchen she did on her show that aired yesterday. And I even pinned a great option on Pinterest last week. It wasn't that long ago that the striped area rug  seemed to be the big trend. But now it's being shown as permanent flooring. I'm thinking this may be a short lived trend but who am I to really know. Do tell me what you think? Do you love this look or think it will look dated in no time?
