Buy a fun new tray to keep all the stuff on your coffee table looking neat. Keep an eye out for these at garage sales or consignment stores.

Buy a small piece of marble to use as a cutting board - it adds class and updates an old counter. Crate & Barrel has some really nice options.

Install a new brightly coloured light fixture - or simply spray paint the one you have.

Add whimsy with decals to your lampshades - or go on Etsy.ca and find a new one that will change the whole mood of the space.

Do you have several smaller pictures around the house? Corral them to one focal wall for higher impact.

Add a pouf or two for added seating or putting your feet up on. Home Sense and Winners get new ones all the time to choose from.

Consider painting the inside of your front door a colour that coordinates with your home. Wow, right?
