layer your lights for best results

When thinking about lighting for your space, remember to layer as it is always nice to have more than one option of lighting for each room.

Start by considering task lighting in each room, like a table or floor lamp next to a reading chair. A pot light specifically in a shower/tub area is also task lighting. Ambient lighting is another layer and is like a soft glow table lamp or even a candle. Lastly, but in some cases most importantly, general lighting will consist of anything from a flush mount light, to a chandelier, to pot lights. Something that lights up a full room.

And where possible, add dimmers for a multitude of light possibilities, even considering all those colourful options LEDs allow for if you so desire.
