Injecting Character into a Calgary Infill

My client lives out in Calgary, so our entire design process for her new infill home happened over Zoom! Since her last place was packed with character, we knew we had to pull out all the stops to make this new build feel just as special. Her dining room is on the smaller side, and she quickly realized she wanted a true, distinct dining experience rather than just an afterthought "dinette" off the kitchen.

The secret to making it work? Creating a clear boundary. We installed a metal and glass transom overhead, with sleek metal trim running down the sides to create a hard stop for the paint and visually divide the space.
