my kitchen through the years
I have lived in my 1958 home for over 28 years, and be it as it may in my field, I have made changes to my kitchen. Many times! My most recent one takes me back to an all white kitchen, and I think I am always happiest when things are the ‘colour’ white in my world. The dark green kitchen lasted a whole 3 weeks! The red maybe a year? The black kitchen (not a colour so it was OK in my mind), lasted a few years. I have changed the backsplash just twice, and the counters just once to the black soapstone from the original laminate. The cabinets are from the original remodel when we first moved in. I’m still happy I had chosen classic shaker doors at the time.
This first image really tells a story about this home. I definitely had to see through the dated spaces to know I could make it home.
